Note : As per the Ordinance, the minimum marks required to pass the B.Ed. examination are 40% in each written paper, 45% in the written paper and the work done during the session relating to that paper in Part A; 50% in Part B (Practical) and 50% in the aggregate.

Programme Transaction: The B.Ed. Programme involves lectures, discussions, tutorials, school based experiences, work experience, psychology practicals, visual education, technology awareness programme and co-curricular activities, including physical education. One major component of the programme is the School Experience Programme (SEP), which is organized in various schools of Delhi.

Timings : The working hours are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (Monday to Saturday). All students are expected to remain for the entire day. During SEP days, all students are expected to be in the school for the entire duration of the school hours.

Medium of Instruction and Examination : For Courses I, II, & Ill the medium of instruction can be either Hindi or English as per the option of the candidate. For Courses IV & V facilities exist for instruction in a bilingual mode, except for Methodology of Teaching Languages (offered as options under Course IV). The medium of examination is either English or Hindi for all the courses. The same medium should be used by a candidate for all the examinations.

Attendance : Students are expected to attend the classes and other activities regularly. Under unavoidable circumstances, prior permission for leave is essential. Leave applications should be addressed to the Head of the Department/Principal, after the same have been recommended by the concerned Tutor or School Supervisor.

University rules require a minimum of 75% attendance in theory, practicals, tutorials and other activities.

Hostel Accommodation: There are two small dormitory-type hostels in CIE, separately for men and women. The application for a seat in the hostel should be submitted immediately after admission. At present, MVCOE and SPMC have no hostel facility, but the students admitted there can apply for admission to the CIE Hostels.
